For those of you who missed the banquet, I hope you’ve been able to catch up with my last few blog postings.  Today, I want to share with you this precious note I received after the banquet. God is using CareNet in so many huge ways right now to impact our community, but what a sweet reminder of how He is in the business of touching hearts one by one. He is good.

Dear Candy,

I didn’t want this time to pass me by without telling you this.  I appreciate you so much asking my daughter to be a part of the banquet.  That made her feel so special.  I don’t know if you remember the day she recently came into Chosen so upset because she wasn’t invited to a birthday party, and the conversation had unfolded on the way to Chosen that day.  Anyways, the Lord spoke so powerfully through you to her that day reminding her that God chooses her every time.  I will never forget that moment, and I know she won’t either.  I feel like it was a marking moment.

Anyways, I didn’t realize she was the only one helping from Chosen at the banquet.  She went on and on about how neat it was that she got to do that.  It was a great teaching moment on the way home last night for me to remind her that God chooses her and that in life we will always be disappointed and sometimes not chosen by people.  However, if we know God chooses us always and we ground our hearts in His love for us, we can deal with the disappointments or rejection of others.  Thank you for helping to set a foundational stone in her life that God chooses her.  Thank you for all the time and the heart you invest in this generation.  You did a great job, as always, speaking last night.  Just wanted to say thank you!

I hope you have some time to stop and remember today that He chooses you. You are His favorite one!
